James Bond Odditorium | Collectables and Beyond

On your next secret mission, don't forget to pack these multi-coloured, "superior quality" elastic bands, manufactured by Tin Tin Bazar in 1967.

In the 1980s, Spanish toy maker and violator of intellectual property Coibel made a number of knock-off Bond items. Among them were the ‘exploding’ range (a cap-gun style system) including a lighter, pen, coin and spoon.

In 1999, Hasbro issued a number of limited edition action man-style figures for Bond films. Here is the one for THE SPY WHO LOVED ME.

"Space Belongs to Bond!" Made on the coattails of STAR WARS, MOONRAKER also followed the example set by George Lucas with a cascade of toys and tie-ins. Examples include a 1:144 scale Space Shuttle and Booster Rocket (Revell) and a Space Gun (Lone Star).

Mego acquired the toy license upon MOONRAKER's initial release. A 12" figure line had both a regular and spacesuit James Bond, Drax, Holly and Jaws (which included a magnet mouth and used a Hulk torso). Due to production delays and lukewarm sales, only the regular Bond, Drax and Holly were available at the time in the United States, with spacesuit Bond and Jaws becoming European exclusives.

This 6" Yo-Yo with catcher - made by Wembley in 1983 - is a "replica of the amazing weapon" from OCTOPUSSY. Thankfully, the spinning action and saw blade effect is "totally safe," despite the flimsy packaging.
